I have a passion for helping students succeed. I have been a highly qualified and certified elementary school teacher for nearly 20 years. I have experience teaching all subjects kindergarten through fifth grade. I have experience working in the classroom setting with both whole group and small group (tutoring) settings. I am available to assist your child in preparing for the upcoming (2013-2014) school year as well as to ensure that your child doesn't experience the "summer slide" (the educational loss that many students experience during the summer months). I am very good at tailoring my instruction to meet a student's specific needs, working with students' interests and learning styles, encouraging learners, and helping learners reach their full potential. I will work with your child until he or she "gets it", and I'll challenge the child who needs a challenge. I can also recommend online resources that your child can use at home to keep him or her on track between tutoring sessions. Once the school year ends, I will be very flexible with my availability. I can meet with students during days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed based on your schedule.
