I believe every student learns differently, but every student can learn successfully. I'm devoted to establishing teaching methodologies with my students that are effective for their learning styles. I also believe in setting goals and forming connections with my students so they feel comfortable in the learning environment. I'm patient and go at the student's pace to ensure they have a solid understanding before we move on. My goal is to create confident, self-sufficient learners. I went to Wayne State University for my bachelor's degree in business administration, and I went on to the University of Detroit Mercy for my masters degree in special education and learning disabilities. I love to teach and have a positive effect on the long-term success of my students. I have 12 years of experience as a tutor, and I specialize in writing and reading. When I have free time, I enjoy concerts, movies, reading, and spending time with family.
